How To Take Care Of Your Nails!!

Hello Friends, We always want a beautiful glowing face with a well toned body and are always trying and working on it...Be it Facials or home made face packs or doing yoga or hitting a gym for maintaining your weight...
In all these things, sometimes a very important part which gets neglected is NAILS!!!
Sometimes we totally forget that Nails also require a proper care, ignorance of which often leads to chipping or discoloration or unhealthy yellow Nails or weird uneven cuticles.

Not taking a proper care of your nails sometimes lead to fungal infection which can be too harmful and damage your nails till its roots.

So, i would be sharing some basic tips which really can help you to maintain healthy Nails:

  • Always try to keep your nails clean and dry. This is the most important habit which you can incorporate in your routine since too much of moisture often leads to bacterial and fungal infection.So, whether you are washing your hands\feet or coming out of the shower, always dry nails nicely.
  • Doctors always recommend that keeping long nails is not a good habit from a hygiene point of view. But what to do most of us girls loves it!! So make sure if you like keeping long nails, cut them regularly...Do not keep same nails for a very long time, trim them on a regular basis. Often Dust, dirt and bacteria gets accumulated inside the nails and can get inside our body while eating food.
  • Also make sure to do manicures regularly. It is not necessary to go to a parlor for a manicure.Basic cleaning and manicure can be done at home very easily. This will ensure that your nails are clean and in proper shape.
  • Always apply a good moisturizer after washing your hands. This will enable you to keep those skin and nails hydrated and not chapped.
  • If you see any fungal infection,do not wait to let it grow and then go to doctor. Immediately see a suitable doctor for medication. Nails are very sensitive and once infection reach to the roots and nails start to get damaged then sometimes it is difficult to save the nail.So, never take take your nails lightly.
  • Avoid applying Nail Paint on a regular basis: We all girls loves to apply nail polishes matching with our dress. Make sure you do not put on a nail paint for a continuous very long time.You need to remove nail paints and let your nails breathe. Some girls always have one or the another nail paint on their nails, they remove one and put another one immediately...and this is the biggest blunder which often leads to yellowing of nails. You need to let your nails breathe.
  • Never use cheap Nail Products: Always try to use good quality nail polishes\paints.
  • Applying Olive Oil or Almond Oil is very good for nails.These oils boost nails growth.
  • Nothing new to say always try to maintain a good healthy diet with lots of veggies and fruits.
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Applying a petroleum jelly is also considered good for conditioning your nails and cuticles.
  • I generally apply my regular body butters on my nails as well and they work fine for me. But if you are facing too much of dryness and your regular moisturizers are not enough then some good brands have hands & nails creams specially meant to provide deep hydration to them. You can try them too! 
  • Do not use expired nail polishes: No matter how much you love this particular nail paint, if it has passed its expiration date throw it immediately..Do not use expired products ever..
  • Do not use hand washes which are too hard or too soapy. Use little bit mild hand wash.
So those were few on the nail care tips...I am sure you will find at least two tips which can be useful for you and will help to maintain those healthy glowing pink nails.

Nails is something which do not demands much but at least some minimal care is required to keep them in a good condition.
